The "Invest in China, Dialogue with Shanxi" China (Shanxi)-South Korea Emerging Industries Economic Cooperation Conference was held on June 17 in Taiyuan, capital of North China's Shanxi province.

Representatives from Chinese and South Korean enterprises participated in discussions on carbon neutrality and biopharmaceutical development opportunities between Shanxi and South Korea. Multiple cooperation achievements were reached, enhancing economic and trade cooperation between the two regions.

Shanxi Provincial Department of Commerce signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), with both parties committing to collaborate in key industry areas. Through events and resource sharing, they aim to help enterprises expand their products and services into the global market.

Chinese and South Korean enterprises also signed three project cooperation intent agreements covering green environmental protection, energy-saving equipment, and clean energy, broadening the boundaries of cooperation in emerging industries.

The South Korean delegation conducted trade and investment integration negotiations with over 20 Shanxi enterprises in the biopharmaceutical and low-carbon environmental protection industries, laying a solid foundation for future cooperation.
