The ‌2025 Forum on the Innovative Development of Township Economies‌ was recently held in Beijing, where the Township Economy Research Center of China Center for Information Industry Development (CCID) Sichuan Co released the Research Report on the High-Quality Development of China's Township Economies 2025.

This report evaluated over 20,000 towns nationwide, culminating in the "‌2025 Top 500 Township Economies‌" ranking. ‌Qingyuan town in Qingxu county, Taiyuan, capital of North China's Shanxi province, secured the 241st position, making it the only town in Shanxi to make the list.‌

The ranking assessed towns across four dimensions: ‌economic strength, industrial capacity, consumption vitality, and urban-rural integration‌, with each dimension comprising four specific secondary indicators.

Additionally, supporting factors such as the presence of higher education institutions, provincial-level innovation platforms, and honorary titles reflecting socio-economic progress were considered.

As an ‌industrial hub and agricultural powerhouse‌ within Qingxu, Qingyuan has prioritized ‌project development, industrial revitalization, and infrastructure optimization‌ in recent years. This focus has led to significant breakthroughs in enterprise growth, project advancement, and the enhancement of the business environment.

Qingyuan is currently working to advance rural vitalization, with modern large-scale agriculture showing robust momentum: grain cultivation spans ‌over 1,333 hectares, yielding nearly ‌7,000 metric tons annually‌.

Qingyuan is currently strengthening efforts to ‌build a modern industrial system, develop new quality productive forces, and advance rural vitalization‌, striving for high-quality development across all sectors of its economy and society.
