Over 40 experts from 25 major scientific and technological innovation platforms in North China's Shanxi Province recently visited the National Supercomputing Center in Taiyuan (NSCC-Taiyuan) for a computing power supply-demand matching event.

During the activity, NSCC-Taiyuan showcased its strategic layout in artificial intelligence, achievements in providing computing power support across industries, technological adaptation pathways for platforms, and a series of exemplary service cases.

Attendees engaged in in-depth discussions on core topics including optimizing the allocation of computing resources, implementing technical support mechanisms, and innovating collaboration models.

An official from the Information Innovation Division of the Shanxi Provincial Department of Science and Technology emphasized that computing power, as a core productive force in the digital economy era, plays an indispensable role in technological innovation.

The NSCC-Taiyuan is a strategic piece of information infrastructure facility in the province. Having been inspected and approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology in April 2022 and incorporated into the National Supercomputing Center Sequence Management system, NSCC-Taiyuan utilizes the powerful computational foundation of its "Taihang-1" supercomputer.

Adopting a dual-drive approach focused on supercomputing application services and ecosystem development, the center tracks cutting-edge computing trends and comprehensively elevates its service capabilities. It aims to become a leading national supercomputing center with distinctive features and significant scale.
