China Eastern Airlines will inaugurate its first regular round-trip flight between Taiyuan and Kuala Lumpur via Wuhan on Sept 10. This new route is expected to improve travel convenience for passengers from Shanxi, Hubei, and neighboring regions to Malaysia and Southeast Asia, while further enhancing economic cooperation and cultural exchanges among Taiyuan, Wuhan, and Kuala Lumpur.

Outbound flights (MU859) will operate on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, departing from Taiyuan at 21:00 and arriving at Kuala Lumpur International Airport at 04:30 the following day. Return flights (MU860) are scheduled on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, leaving Kuala Lumpur at 05:30 and arriving at Taiyuan Wusu International Airport at 13:10.

This new route provides travelers from Taiyuan, Wuhan, and surrounding areas with direct access to Kuala Lumpur and connections to other Southeast Asian destinations, eliminating the hassle of traditional transfers. It also caters to diverse travel needs, including business trips, tourism, and family visits, while facilitating deeper economic and cultural ties between Central China and Southeast Asia.

China Eastern stated it will continue monitoring market trends, expanding international routes, and optimizing its network to offer passengers more choices and higher-quality services.
