China Eastern Airlines has launched round-trip flights among Taiyuan, Changsha, and Singapore, operating from Oct 28. This is currently the only regular passenger route in Shanxi province that flies directly to Singapore.

A Boeing B737-800 aircraft will be used, with three round-trip flights per week. The outbound flight MU2045 will depart every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. It will take off from Taiyuan Wusu International Airport at 18:15, stopover in Changsha, and arrive at Singapore Changi Airport at 02:00 the next day.

The return flight MU2046 will have flight arrangements every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. It will take off from Singapore Changi Airport at 03:00, stop in Changsha, and arrive at Taiyuan Wusu International Airport at 11:30.

This new route will fill a gap in direct flights from Shanxi to Singapore, providing passengers with a more efficient and convenient travel option. It is expected to promote more interactive exchanges between Shanxi and Singapore in business, tourism, and study abroad programs.
