The Longshan Grottoes Museum in Taiyuan, capital of North China's Shanxi province, launched the 2025 Longshan Red Leaf Cultural Festival on Oct 15, showcasing its unique natural landscape and rich historical and cultural resources.

The Longshan Grottoes and the Tongzi Temple Ruins are both national treasures. Standing atop Longshan Mountain, the red leaves are as poetic and picturesque as a scroll, while the beautiful city of Taiyuan can be seen below.

This festival includes special exhibitions, intangible cultural heritage rubbing activities, and stamp collections.

The intangible cultural heritage rubbing activities are themed around the representative elements of Longshan Mountain, such as the Randeng Pagoda, Tongzi Temple, Dragon Head Cypress, and the Longshan red leaves.

The "Youth Study Tour and Rubbing" activity will be carried out to allow teenagers to learn about the historical stories carried by cultural relics during tile rubbing and inscription copying, and deepen their understanding of the historical and cultural value of Longshan.
