The main event of the 2023 Chinese Farmers' Harvest Festival in Shanxi province kicked off in Datong city on Sept 22.

With the theme of "celebrating harvest, promoting harmony", this year's festival in Shanxi lasting two days aims to showcase the province's achievements in rural and agricultural development, demonstrate the bright future of rural areas, and promote Shanxi's farming culture.

During the main event, a rich variety of activities were held, including harvest fairs, live streaming of a harvest market and product sales, and a short video competition.
