The China Meteorological Administration recently unveiled 16 national summer cooling tourism routes, with the Yungang Grottoes in Datong taking center stage in the summer resort itinerary.
Renowned for its exquisite stone carvings and profound historical and cultural significance, the Yungang Grottoes captivate visitors with their stunning mountain halls, serene water pavilions, and the tranquil beauty of the surrounding environment, providing a refreshing escape from the summer heat.

These national summer cooling tourism routes span 21 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities, each distinguished by a unique name that embodies the unique local resources.
Among these routes, the "Jingbei Yanjin Summer Resort Corridor" stands out, linking a series of attractions including the Chengde Mountain Resort, the iconic Yungang Grottoes in Datong, and the majestic Changzhi Taihang Mountain Grand Canyon.
