Datong recently welcomed a delegation of 24 teachers and students from Taiwan for the Cross-Strait Youth Exchange and the third Yungang Guardianship event.

The delegation took part in a series of activities, including visits to the Shanxi General Aviation Polytechnic, a friendly table tennis match, and tours of cultural landmarks such as the Yungang Grottoes, Huayan Temple, and the Datong Museum.

The guests visited the vocational college’s training center, drone application lab, and aircraft maintenance workshop, where they received detailed explanations of drone application principles and operating procedures, particularly in agricultural protection, low-altitude inspections, and emergency rescue scenarios.

Educators from both sides also participated in a symposium on the development of vocational education, where they discussed vocational training, talent cultivation, industry-education integration, and the growing demand for talent in the low-altitude economy.
