Datong will launch ancient costume photography buses over the May Day holiday from May 1 to 5, offering passengers an immersive experience of dressing in traditional Chinese attire, receiving professional makeup, and capturing stunning photos — all while exploring the historic city.
The bus is designed to evoke traditional Chinese architecture, featuring elegant brickwork and ornate lanterns on its exterior. Inside, passengers are transported into a mobile museum of ancient China, where wooden display cases showcase over 80 sets of traditional costumes and accessories from various dynasties.
The bus route circles the Datong Ancient City, stopping at key historical landmarks such as Shanhua Temple and Huayan Temple. Passengers can hop on and off at their convenience and capture perfect shots at each iconic location.
The bus operates from 9 am to 9 pm, with extended hours until 10 pm on holidays.
