Datong held its fifth annual Peony Festival on May 24 at Wenying Lake Ecological Park, featuring an 8,000-square-meter peony garden.
This year's festival enhances the visitor experience with creative installations such as traditional Chinese-themed paintings and artsy photo spots nestled among the flowers.
These additions have attracted numerous photographers and hanfu enthusiasts eager to capture the enchanting scenes.
The festival highlights Datong's natural scenery and reflects the city's focus on ecological development and livability, said a local official.
The peony garden is currently in its peak viewing period, which is expected to continue until June.
