Shanxi Liheng Steel Co, established in 2002, employs over 10,000 staff members and spans an area of more than 9,000 mu (600 hectares). It is a joint-stock iron and steel enterprise integrating coking, ironmaking, steelmaking, rolling, gas power generation, waste heat power generation, water slag micro-powder production, wastewater treatment, railway dispatching, and international trade.

The company is located in the Million-Metric Ton High-Quality Special Steel Circular Industrial Park in Quwo county, Linfen city, Shanxi province. It is bordered by the Jincheng-Houma Expressway and Houma-Yueshan Railway to the north, the Datong-Yuncheng Expressway to the west, and the Datong-Puzhou Railway to the south. Furthermore, the company owns its own platforms and dedicated railway lines, giving it a highly advantageous location and convenient transportation access.

It aims to build a 10-million-ton steel enterprise with a strong focus on developing a circular economy. Its self-owned power plant has been constructed to recover excess blast furnace pressure and sintering waste heat for power generation. Once the supporting coking gas, dry quenching, and waste heat power generation systems are fully operational, the company will achieve complete self-sufficiency in electricity, becoming one of the few private enterprises in the country capable of negative-energy production through self-generated power.

Using advanced technology imported from Germany, the company has launched a super micro-powder project that deeply processes water slag to maximize resource utilization. Its wastewater treatment plant, with a daily capacity of 20,000 tons, fully meets the company's water needs. By promoting a circular economy, the company achieves 100 percent recycling of waste gas, zero wastewater discharge, and full reuse of waste residue, enabling low-cost, highly efficient operations.
