The "Strawberry Wonderful Yicheng Year 2026: Strawberries & Joy – Heyun Strawberry Music Festival" in Yicheng county, Linfen city, welcomed over 550,000 visitors from Feb 14 to March 3.

The 18-day festival blended strawberry picking and leisure activities, weaving together Chinese New Year vibes, musical energy, and countryside charm to provide citizens and tourists with an immersive Spring Festival experience.

Visitors could pick strawberries across several greenhouses, enjoying the simple pleasures of rural life while listening to local music. In the strawberry workshop area, guests could craft strawberry cakes and strawberry bouquets; at the intangible cultural heritage exhibition area, they enjoyed captivating performances, including Yicheng flower drums and Gushu village lantern dances; and in the specialty food area, visitors indulged in the delicious flavors of Yicheng cuisine.

This event blurred the boundaries between agriculture and cultural tourism, transforming planting bases into leisure destinations and agricultural products into tourist souvenirs, selling more than 600,000 kilograms of strawberries and generating additional income of over 8 million yuan ($1.16 million) for local farmers. It has become a model for integrating agriculture, culture, and tourism in Yicheng county.
