The Jinguo Museum is the first large-scale ruins museum in Shanxi and the first dedicated to Jin culture in China. The museum spans 5.9 hectares, with a building area of 13,393 square meters and an exhibition hall covering 8,985 sq m.

The Qucun-Tianma site, part of the Jinguo Museum, was among the fourth batch of sites to be designated as national key cultural relic protection units by the State Council. In 2017, the museum was recognized as a national 4A-level tourist attraction, and in 2020, it was awarded second-class national museum status by the China Museum Association.

The Jinguo Museum primarily focuses on Jin culture and features three main exhibitions: the Exhibition of Jin History and Culture, the Exhibition on the Excavation History of the Qucun-Tianma Site, and the Exhibition of the Jin Marquis Cemetery Site.
