The 22nd China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industry Fair (ICIF) was held on May 22. Shanxi Jiujian Ceramic Art Aesthetics Communication Co (Jiujian Ceramic), from Xiangning county, Linfen city, showcased over 40 Xiangning purple clay works in the Shanxi exhibition area, attracting much attention and achieving strong sales.

Building on its history of over 6,000 years, Xiangning purple clay pottery began exporting its wares overseas in the 1980s.

The exhibition showcased a variety of items, including purple clay teapots, teacups, and cultural creative ornaments, all crafted from locally sourced raw clay through handmade processes. Featuring a warm texture and a rustic, robust style, the works attracted many visitors to admire and make purchases.

Yang Haoran, an intangible cultural heritage inheritor of purple clay craftsmanship in northern China, elaborated on the characteristics of clay materials, crafting techniques, resource reserves, and the differences between northern and southern China's purple clay styles, teaching the audience about the skills and cultural heritage involved.

This exhibition further enhanced the reputation of Xiangning purple clay. Linfen will continue to explore its intangible cultural heritage resources, promote the inheritance and innovative development of traditional techniques, and support the international dissemination of local cultural industries.
