April Media Co, based in Linfen Economic Development Zone, has ventured into the AIGC (Artificial Intelligence-generated Content) sector by establishing a local AI short drama production facility.

The company currently employs over 100 creators and has produced more than 100 AI-driven short dramas, with over 10 works featured on domestic and international video platforms.

Compared with traditional live-action short dramas, the AI-based production model offers significant advantages in cost and production time. For works of similar scale, production expenses have dropped from 1 million yuan ($ 137,000) to just 100,000 yuan. While traditional production cycles typically take around 30 days, a 10-person AI team can complete the same work in only four to five days, with a single creator and a single workstation capable of initiating the creative process.

To support this innovative approach, the company has established a robust talent cultivation system. Since May this year, it has conducted nine specialized training sessions, providing hands-on courses for over 200 trainees. Each session trains 20 to 30 participants over a period of four to six days and is designed specifically for beginners without prior experience.
