No 7 Shanxi Smart City launched in Yangquan

A launch ceremony for No 7 Shanxi Smart City was held on Jan 29 in Yangquan city, North China's Shanxi province.

Shanxi Smart City refers to support platforms for innovation and entrepreneurship with a united brand name. It's a major measure taken by Shanxi province to promote technological innovation and high-quality transformation and development. 

No 7 Shanxi Smart City in Yangquan Economic and Technological Development Area and Kuangqu district in Yangquan city focuses on the new materials industry of China Navalley Industrial Park and the digital economy industry of Yungu Science and Technology Park. 

There have been two national-level incubators, three national-level makerspaces, and 20 innovation and entrepreneurship bases established in Yangquan city.

Mayor Lei Jiankun expressed her hope at the launch ceremony that No 7 Shanxi Smart City would stimulate innovation throughout Yangquan and set an example for innovation and entrepreneurship across the province and even the whole country. 

She said that No 7 Shanxi Smart City's operation team should accelerate the introduction and cultivation of enterprises, promote the formation of scientific and technological achievements, original projects and innovative brands, and gather innovation resources at home and abroad. 

The Yangquan municipal government will further strengthen service guarantees, enhance communication and business matchmaking, and undertake industrial transfers to create a good business environment for developing No 7 Shanxi Smart City.
