Yangquan has launched a transformative initiative focused on ecological restoration, urban revitalization, infrastructure improvement, and cityscape enhancement. This initiative aims to make the city more livable, work-friendly, and appealing to tourists.

Authorities are focusing on enhancing green spaces, with a total of 505,000 flowers having been planted in key areas, including the entrance to the Potou Expressway and along the Taohe River.

By incorporating sculptural plants, flowering shrubs, and undergrowth flowers, outdated parks and green spaces have been revitalized. The refurbishment of park facilities has further enhanced service functions, allowing residents to enjoy greenery right outside their windows and have parks on their doorsteps.

Urban infrastructure improvements include making sidewalks barrier-free and elderly-friendly, optimizing bus stops, enhancing the appearance of underground passages, and updating lamp posts.

The "rapid response + smart inspection" mechanism has effectively addressed facility damage issues, with plans to improve routine management and governance precision.

Yangquan has also adopted a combined washing and sweeping model in bustling areas. This approach, supported by a smart platform to coordinate operation routes, has improved cleaning efficiency, including night-time dust suppression.

Yangquan is committed to addressing infrastructure gaps and enhancing urban capabilities. The city aims to establish a long-term governance mechanism to ensure that the benefits of urban renewal are tangible and accessible to the public, paving the way for a sustainable and vibrant urban future.
