Yangquan enhances youth employment
Yangquan has launched a significant employment initiative aimed at creating an effective matchmaking platform for young job seekers and employers.
The event offered a wide range of opportunities, featuring 96 internship positions across various fields such as legal affairs, administration, education, and information technology. There were positions available in government agencies, public institutions, and enterprises.
Zhang Wei, a recent graduate and native of Yangquan, shared his enthusiasm: "I saw the announcement on Douyin and came. I want to find a job in my hometown where I can gain valuable experience. These internship positions are ideal for boosting my employability."
Local official Shi Hao emphasized the significance of these roles: "The legal assistant and office clerk positions provide young people with practical experience in legal work, communication, and document management, establishing a strong foundation for their careers."
The fair also offered positions in graphic design, new media operations, and Tmall flagship store customer service.
The online and offline services further enhanced the fair's accessibility. Live streaming via Douyin and video channels allowed job seekers to explore the event virtually. "I was able to inquire about details from home and submitted three resumes. It's incredibly convenient!" remarked job seeker Geng Jiayao.
The job fair is part of the city's broader employment service campaign. In recent years, authorities have been improving the employment landscape through initiatives such as entrepreneurial guarantee loans, youth job training, and various subsidies.
"Authorities will continue to offer career guidance and training to support young people in the transition from job seeking to job stability," officials said.
The event drew over 1,600 young attendees, with more than 1,000 securing preliminary internship agreements.
