The seventh Shanxi Cultural Industries Fair, held from Aug 21 to 25 in Taiyuan, featured an impressive showcase from Yangquan.
The Yangquan booth hosted 29 enterprises and presented over 1,000 items spanning ceramic sandware, handicrafts, and innovative cultural creations that blend tradition with technology.
The booth's design incorporated elements of Yangquan's rich cultural heritage and displays a wide array of cultural and creative products inspired by this legacy. More than 20 different styles of envelopes and postcards were also on offer.

Artist Wu Fengzhen captivates attendees with a live sand painting demonstration, while sand-painted fridge magnets served as portable mementos of the city's red heritage. A digital interactive photo booth allowed visitors to "check in" at Yangquan in just one minute.
The exhibition also highlights intangible cultural heritage skills, such as sand pottery and clay artistry, which astonished attendees. Demonstrations included the crafting of a "Fortune Cat" purple clay teapot, showcasing meticulous craftsmanship.
Many parents brought their children to the expo, allowing them to experience the rich "cultural flavor" through viewing, playing, purchasing, tasting, and learning activities.
